Producing the Stucco Look without Stucco Problems

    Date: Tuesday, April 24, 2018

    Time: 12 pm - 1 PM

Location: Carteret County Home Builders Association

    105 N 10th St, Unit 3

    FREE INFORMATIONAL SEMINAR

    Lunch will be provided

This presentation will outline a method of installing a stucco wall system with all the typical looks of genuine stucco but without the down sides - such as cracking, wavy hand-troweled walls and unappealing joints running across the walls.

This wall system meets new air barrier codes and is not only attractive but structural and cost effective.

We are looking ahead to spring and our upcoming Parade of Homes. This year will mark the 32ndAnniversary of this prestigious event consisting of a new-home showcase, and a competition among our builder members. We are actively seeking HBA members from outside our area that would be interested in travelling to Wilmington to help judge our competition.

If interested, I would ask that you please reach out to Naomi Wright at naomi@wilmhba.org. From there she can get you the application and all the corresponding documentation.

Brent Johnson, a graduate student at East Carolina University studying Construction Management, is conducting a survey for his capstone research class and can use your help. His research seek to identify the advantages of construction management software and to identify potential reasons why residential contractors have not implemented such software. Once his research concludes in December, a copy of Brent's research findings will be distributed here in NCHBA's Monday Briefing.
